Abstract

In September 2024, there were developments in the prices of various commodities. Based on monitoring by BPS of Sumbawa Regency, September 2024 recorded a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.28 percent, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising from 104.22 in September 2023 to 105.55 in September 2024. The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate was 0.12 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 1.28 percent.

The year-on-year inflation was driven by price increases across nearly all expenditure groups, including: Food, beverages, and tobacco group: 1.57 percent; Clothing and footwear group: 0.46 percent; Household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance group: 0.33 percent; Health group: 0.76 percent; Transportation group: 0.39 percent; Recreation, sports, and culture group: 5.46 percent; Education group: 0.75 percent; Food and beverage/accommodation services group: 0.89 percent; Personal care and other services group: 7.41 percent.
