In March 2025, there were developments in the prices of various commodities. According to monitoring results by BPS (Statistics Indonesia) of Sumbawa Regency, the year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in March 2025 was recorded at 0.68 percent, indicating an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 107.64 in March 2024 to 108.37 in March 2025. The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate stood at 1.84 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.27 percent. The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases reflected by the rise in almost all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverages, and tobacco group by 0.39 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.91 percent; housing equipment, household appliances, and routine household maintenance group by 0.46 percent; health group by 1.94 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 4.91 percent; education group by 0.75 percent; food and beverage provision/restaurants group by 1.29 percent; and personal care and other services group by 11.98 percent.
