Based on data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) in Sumbawa Regency, the region experienced a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of 1.39 percent, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising from 107.48 in April 2024 to 108.97 in April 2025. The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate was 0.55 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.83 percent. The y-on-y inflation was primarily driven by price increases in almost all expenditure groups. The food, beverages, and tobacco group rose by 0.36 percent; clothing and footwear increased by 2.51 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel by 1.07 percent; furnishings, household equipment, and routine maintenance by 0.31 percent; health by 2.13 percent; recreation, sports, and culture by 4.91 percent; education by 0.75 percent; food and beverage provision/restaurants by 1.29 percent; and personal care and other services by 14.09 percent.
