Abstract

In June 2024, there were rise in the commodity prices. Based on the BPS Sumbawa survey in June 2024, the year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate was 0.95 percent, or the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased from 104.96 in June 2023 to 105.96 in June 2024. The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate was 0.29 percent, and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.90 percent.

The y-on-y inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in most expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Group of 0.83 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group of 1.4 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance Group of 1.49 percent; Health Group of 0.28 percent; Transportation Group of 0.06 percent; Recreation, Sport, and Culture Group of 0.56 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 1.80 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 5.60 percent. Meanwhile, Education Group did not experience any changes.
